Dr Fixit Micro Concrete
Introduction
In structural repairs, especially in hard-to-reach or congested
reinforcement areas, conventional concrete falls short. That’s where Dr.
Fixit Micro Concrete becomes a game-changer. This ready-to-use, non-shrink,
free-flowing repair material is specially designed for restoring damaged
reinforced concrete elements such as columns, beams, and structural
members, particularly where compaction with a vibrator is not possible.
Formulated with high-quality cement, graded aggregates, and
performance-enhancing additives, it ensures excellent flowability,
strength, and durability in critical repair applications.
Features
- 1. Ready-to-Use Dry Powder
Pre-mixed at the factory, it only requires the addition of clean water
on-site. This eliminates the need for extra cement or aggregates,
saving time and ensuring consistency.
- 2. Free-Flowing & Non-Shrink
The material flows easily under its weight, filling voids and
congested reinforcement zones without the need for vibration. It also
prevents shrinkage cracks, ensuring volume stability.
- 3. High Strength & Durability
Formulated for structural repairs, it provides excellent compressive
and bonding strength. This makes it suitable for repairing
load-bearing elements like beams and columns.
- 4. Excellent Workability & Flow
Its well-graded particle size and advanced formulation allow it to
flow smoothly into tight spaces. This ensures complete coverage and
uniformity in hard-to-reach areas.
- 5. Good Bond with Reinforcement & Concrete
The product adheres strongly to steel and existing concrete, creating
a monolithic repair structure. This enhances the structural integrity
and prevents delamination.
- 6. Easy Placement in Inaccessible Areas
Ideal for confined spaces where traditional concrete placement tools
cannot reach. It flows and fills effectively, ensuring complete and
effective repairs even in challenging zones.
Step-by-Step Application
Method
- Step 1: Surface Preparation
Clean the repair surface thoroughly.
Remove loose concrete, rust, grease, and dust using a wire brush,
chisel, or high-pressure water jet.
Expose the steel reinforcement and clean it to remove corrosion.
- Step 2: Substrate Pre-Wetting
Pre-wet the prepared surface with clean water for at least 30 minutes.
Ensure the surface is a saturated surface dry (SSD) before pouring
micro concrete.
- Step 3: Shuttering
Formwork must be strong, watertight, and well-supported to hold the
pressure of the micro concrete.
Seal all joints to prevent leakage.
- Step 4: Mixing
Add approximately 13–14% clean water to the powder (as per the
technical datasheet).
Use a mechanical mixer for 3–5 minutes to ensure a homogeneous,
lump-free mix.
Mix until you get a free-flowing consistency.
- Step 5: Placement
Pour the mixed material directly into the formwork.
Avoid vibration.
Let the micro concrete flow under gravity.
Ensure continuous pouring without interruption for best results.
- Step 6: Curing
Begin moist curing as soon as the surface sets (usually within 6–8
hours).
Continue curing for at least 7 days using a wet hessian cloth or
curing compound.
Health & Safety
- • Wear gloves, safety goggles, and masks during handling and
mixing.
- •Avoid skin and eye contact; wash immediately with clean water if
contact occurs.
- •Use in a well-ventilated area to prevent inhalation of cement
dust.
- •In case of ingestion, seek medical attention immediately—do not
induce vomiting.
- •Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and
moisture.
- • Keep out of reach of children and unauthorized personnel
